Face Data (Photographs for Identification)

Zone Security requires users to capture a profile photograph (face image) for identity verification during emergency situations. All face images are encrypted at rest and are accessible only by authorized emergency responders during an active panic incident. Face data is retained only while the user account remains active and is permanently deleted when the account is closed. No biometric data is shared with third parties or used for facial recognition or profiling.

What We Collect

This face image is used exclusively for:

  • • No backups retain deleted biometric information beyond operational purge cycles

  • • Data is accessed only by Zone Security's internal emergency response personnel
  • • No facial recognition, profiling, or AI analysis is performed

When a user activates the panic feature, the following information becomes visible to Zone Security's emergency response team:

  • • User's full name and contact number
  • • Registered emergency contacts

  • • Communication logs and live chat/audio (if enabled)

  • • Alerts are received by Zone Security's 24/7 monitoring and response center
  • • The situation is verified through live contact with the user
  • • A response unit is dispatched based on:

    • - Nearest available armed or medical responders

Relationship to Emergency Services

Zone Security is a licensed private security provider in South Africa.
